Should the City of Gahanna allow chickens? Take a SURVEY!
Currently, the City of Gahanna allows chickens in two zoning districts (ER-1 & ER-2). The City is interested in resident feedback on allowing chickens (not roosters) in all zoning districts. A proposed code change is currently before Planning Commission. Planning Commission will decide if they want to pursue the code change and if so, they will focus on the regulations involved to include: permits, staff time, resources, health hazards, type of animals, and all requirements. Planning Commission will then vote to recommend or not to recommend the proposed code change to City Council. City Council will then vote on the subject.
Surveys are available on the City’s website (www.gahanna.gov) through the Open Town Hall portal & at the front desk of City Hall. The survey endsWednesday, October 19, 2016 at 5 PM.
